Naturopathy is advice on food, diet and supplements and how they impact on your health. The focus is on integrating the use of organic and whole foods into the diet for medicinal purpose. At times we need additional support in the form of supplements, minerals, vitamins and biochemical formulas to alleviate disease conditions. We treat disease and help the body energize its own healing potential. This is achieved through understanding the energy that food provides, as well as the biochemical and physiological processes that comprise sustenance. Nutrition as medicine is an important concept in many traditional cultures around the globe.
I completed a diploma course with distinction and I am now able to advice my patients in the use of supplements.
Naturopathy is a complimentary philosophy to Homeopathy. They both work on the healing potential of the body.
Nutritionists and dieticians are not the same thing. Covering a similar territory they have a different training back ground and control through official bodies.
To further my understanding of other cultures and traditions I also undertook a training course in Ayurveda, which further helped me to understand the marvelous ability of our body to heal itself.
Naturopathy: The use of spices and herbs

The use of spices and herbs is a way of making our food more palatable and interesting. They add colour and taste, but they are also important for digestion and have many health benefits. It is difficult to know what is best for us with many contradicting statements given in the press according to recent “scientific” findings.
Consulting a Naturopath can dispel some myths and make the choice of supplements easier, it is a step to help ourselves.
